I have played with the Xtranormal cartoon tool in the past, and I am ashamed I didn't think of this before now. Lori did a great job summarizing the usual discussion that takes place when others hear you are planning to hike all or part of the Appalachian Trail. It's a bit long, but worth the time.

BigHodag is the trailname of Timothy Lee of Little Rock, Arkansas. A hodag is a mythological creature that lives in caves. Cavers around the world hold hodag hunts at their gatherings.
This blog chronicles BigHodag's plannning for section hiking the Appalachian Trail over the next 10-15 years. The blog will document what works and what does not - hopefully saving others strife and easing their way along The People's Trail.
